Arvest Bank was recognized by Harvesters—The Community Food Network— for its work in leading the hunger relief effort in Kansas City. Arvest Bank received this year’s Financial Support award at an award luncheon on Sept. 23 at the Kansas City Marriott located in downtown Kansas City. Local Bank President Mark Larrabee accepted the award on behalf of Arvest Bank.
The Circle of Hope Awards highlights the contributions of individuals, corporations, agencies and groups in support of Harvesters.* The food bank serves a 26-county area of Northwestern Missouri and Northeastern Kansas. Harvesters provides food and related household products to more than 620 not-for-profit agencies including emergency food pantries, community kitchens, homeless shelters, children’s homes and others.
Arvest Bank has again partnered with Harvesters for the 2014 1 Million Meals initiative. Last year, Arvest raised more than $16,700 in monetary donations and nearly 4,000 non-perishable food items for the food bank.
